Servier appoints new UK chief executive

4th January 2016

Servier has announced the appointment of Dr Arnaud Lallouette as its new UK chief executive officer, succeeding Mike Sumpter.

Dr Lallouette has been with Servier Group for two decades and took over the role on January 1st, having previously served as general manager of Servier Scandinavia. He will oversee Servier UK's return to the diabetes field and the launch of its first oncology product.

He has been promoted following the decision to hand Mr Sumpter a new position at the company's headquarters in Paris as head of alliance management, having spent seven years in charge of Servier UK.

Before this, he spent seven years as head of Servier Canada. He will be leading a team tasked with effectively managing the company's external collaborations.

Mr Sumpter said: "As business development and licensing assumes an increasing role within Servier's activities, effective alliance management will be key to optimal outcomes for these collaborations."

Servier was founded in 1954, with Servier UK becoming its first subsidiary in 1963.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801809230-ADNFCR
