Bartle Bogle Hegarty wins Prostate Cancer UK brief

14th January 2016

Bartle Bogle Hegarty has been handed a new contract by Prostate Cancer UK, which is seeking to raise public awareness of the disease.

The brief will see the agency create a long-term campaign to help educate the public about this deadly form of cancer, while driving donations to help fund research into new ways of combatting it.

This push for donations will support the charity's efforts to mitigate the social impact of prostate cancer, which claims the life of one man every hour in the UK. It is a disease that exclusively affects males, with one in eight men diagnosed with it during their lives.

Older men, black men and those with a family history of prostate cancer are at a particularly pronounced risk. Prostate Cancer UK is also keen to address the fact that prostate cancer research receives only around half the amount spent on breast cancer.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty London chairman Jon Peppiatt said: "We are looking forward to using our creative thinking to raise awareness and money to combat this terrible disease."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801810029-ADNFCR
