Waters launches new ProteinWorks Digest Kits
Waters has announced the launch of a new line of ProteinWorks Digest Kits that simplify, accelerate and standardise the protein bioanalysis process.
Intended to enhance the liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) quantification of proteins via the surrogate peptide approach, the kits shorten the time needed to deliver precise and accurate results.
A total of five kit options will be made available, containing premeasured reagents, a 96-tube flexible sample collection module and easy-to-follow protocols enabling reproducible, fast digestion.
The kits are ideal for laboratories performing protein bioanalysis, contract research organisations, disease research centres, hospitals and university medical centres.
Mike Yelle, vice-president for Waters' consumables business unit, said: "From our collaborations with scientists, it's clear that a better approach to bioanalysis sample preparation is needed for therapeutic proteins. Today's methods are fraught with variability due to a lack of standardisation."
Earlier this month, it was announced that the company will be collaborating with BioCity to set up a new open-access analytical laboratory at the BioHub in Alderley Park.
