Ziath launches HandHeld scanner for sample management in the field

Ziath has announced the launch of its new HandHeld scanner, a portable sample management tool for laboratories and biobanks.

The device is the first truly portable unit of its kind and makes it possible to immediately identify tubes and track samples when away from the lab, including manual picking from repositories and effective recording when collecting samples in the field.

Offering one-handed operability, the scanner is lightweight and intuitive, making it easy to confirm sample contents and record them in the field at the point of collection. Its battery-operated nature makes it possible to enter data on samples as soon as they have been scanned.

It offers benefits in a wide range of applications, from fast tube handling in cold storage facilities or safety hoods to the quick storage of samples in the field.
