Virbac launches new Canigen Lepto4 vaccine for broader coverage

27th January 2016

Virbac has announced the launch of Canigen Lepto4, a versatile new vaccine to protect dogs against leptospirosis.

The new vaccine will be sold alongside Canigen Lepto2 and covers two additional strains of the disease, providing vets more choice and flexibility when it comes to treating animals that are particularly at risk, including those travelling abroad.

Both vaccines are offered alongside full technical training and support, allowing practices to choose vaccine protocols based on the needs of clients. This includes a suite of educational and promotional resources to help owners make more informed decisions about vaccination.

Canigen Lepto2 will be offered as a suitable option for many cases, while Canigen Lepto4 will be positioned as a more broad-ranging option for those who require a broader degree of protection.

Sarah Walker, product manager at Virbac, said: "The launch of Canigen Lepto4 helps to offer a solution for those who may needed a broader degree of protection through being at a higher risk or those which travel abroad."

The company experienced a 10.2 per cent year-on-year increase in net sales for 2015, thanks in large part to recent acquisitions and a positive exchange rate impact.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801811170-ADNFCR
