Norbrook announces winners of Closamectin competition

Norbrook Laboratories has announced the winners of a nationwide competition held to highlight the effectiveness of its product Closamectin.

Taking place in retail outlets and national shows across the UK and Ireland, the contest saw farmers offered the chance to enter a free prize draw to win one of a number of Ritchie Sheep Rollover Crates.

The crates are valued at around 1,000 pounds and are designed for easy installation within a sheep handling system. They allow animals to be positioned in various ways for ease of management and treatment.

Winners across the country are now receiving their prizes, with the event giving the company an opportunity to promote the benefits of using Closamectin to treat fluke, worms and external parasite infestations in cattle and sheep.

Monica Whistler, product manager for Norbrook, said: "It is important for farmers to be aware of the causes and signs of fluke, not just during the obvious seasons, so drawing attention to potential treatments throughout the year is useful."
