Church and Dwight exceeds expectations in 2015

3rd February 2016

Church and Dwight has announced its financial results for 2015, during which it was able to exceed a number of fiscal targets for the year.

The company's net sales came to $3.39 billion (2.33 billion pounds), up by 3.6 percent on a reported basis and by 2.9 percent as reported. Its adjusted earnings per share increased eight percent to $3.25, exceeding its outlook for 2015.

Strong results in the consumer packaged goods sector were cited as a key factor behind its success, with efforts to increase its marketing spend yielding dividends. Three out of its four mega brands and seven out of ten power brands were able to expand their market share.

These included its biggest brand Arm and Hammer and its new offering Batiste, the success of which has helped the company to enjoy strong momentum to the end of the year.

In 2016, Church and Dwight expects organic sales growth of approximately three percent, supported by key product introductions within its core business areas.

Matthew Farrell, chief executive officer of Church and Dwight, said: "We are very pleased with the superior business results we delivered in 2015."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801811796-ADNFCR
