Bristol-Myers Squibb to present cancer drug data at AACR 2016

22nd March 2016

Bristol-Myers Squibb will be presenting new clinical research data on key immuno-oncology assets at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) annual meeting.

The conference, which will be taking place in New Orleans from April 16th to 20th, will showcase the performance of its new drug Opdivo, both as a single agent and in combination with Yervoy.

Pivotal phase III trial results from the CheckMate -141 study will demonstrate the overall survival benefits associated with Opdivo in patients with previously-treated advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.

This represents the fifth tumour type in which Opdivo has shown overall survival benefits compared to a standard of care.

Dr Jean Viallet, global clinical research lead for oncology at Bristol-Myers Squibb, said: "We are excited to present, for the first time, overall survival data from the first pivotal phase III trial of an immuno-oncology agent, Opdivo, in previously treated squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck."

Additionally, survival data from the CheckMate -069 study will highlight the benefits of a regimen of Opdivo and Yervoy in treating advanced melanoma.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801815081-ADNFCR
