Martindale Pharma re-launches methadone products in Scandinavia

Martindale Pharma has announced the re-launch of its methadone oral solution product range in Scandinavia.

Working with its strategic partner Unimedic AB, the firm will make its methadone oral solution available for prescribers from April 1st in Norway and Sweden and May 1st in Finland. It is intended for patients requiring opioid substitution therapy for the treatment of opioid addiction.

The orange-flavoured sugar-free oral liquid does not contain the large amounts of sugar, flavouring or unwanted additives like alcohol that other products include, while its small volumes mean one bottle can be used as a single dose.

This re-launch follows a change in excipients used in the formulation, as well as the new appointment of Unimedic AB as Martindale Pharma's partner for this product range in Scandinavia.

This comes after the firm launched Teglutik, an oral liquid-suspension formulation of riluzole, earlier this year.
