Stryker finalises three acquisition deals

Stryker has announced the completion of three recently-announced acquisition deals, which will help to bolster its product offering and earning capabilities.

The firm has finalised its purchase of Sage Products, which provides solutions for oral care, skin preparation and protection, patient cleaning and hygiene, turning and positioning devices and heel care boots.

It has also completed the takeover of Physio-Control International, a successful developer of medical technology such as monitors, defibrillators and CPR-assist devices, along with data management and support services.

Finally, Stryker has taken ownership of the neuro portfolio of Synergetics USA, which includes the Malis generator, Spetzler Malis disposable forceps and Stryker's existing Sonopet tips and RF generator.

Both of the first two deals are expected to be accretive to Stryker's 2016 adjusted net earnings per diluted share, while all three will have a beneficial financial impact in the longer term.

The company was named Fortune magazine's 100 best companies to work for last month for the sixth consecutive year.
