Martindale Pharma launches ready-to-use presentation of Phenylephrine

Martindale Pharma has launched the first ready-to-use presentation of Phenylephrine, for the treatment of hypotension associated with anaesthesia.

This new strength of the selective vasopressor drug will be available in a 10ml ampoule, at a strength of 0.1mg/ml. The availability of this new offering will help to maximise the accuracy and flexibility of dosing.

Prior to this, Phenylephrine was only available as a 10mg/ml dose in 1ml ampoules, which is diluted prior to use. This new product offers a simpler approach to product use and can be given as an intravenous bolus injection or as a continuous infusion.

Exclusive rights to a range of Phenylephrine products have been licensed for the UK and Gulf Co-Operation Council Countries from Unimedic AB, Martindale Pharma's strategic partner for Scandinavia.

The company recently announced a new distribution agreement with Faisal Musaed El Seif Saudi Pharmaceutical, a move that will strengthen its growth in Saudi Arabia.
