Ivoclar Vivadent announces IPS e.max Smile Award finalists

Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the finalists for its IPS e.max Smile Award for 2016, which aims to honour the best IPS e.max projects worldwide.

A total of nine teams have been shortlisted for the prize, including three for each of the regions: Asia Pacific; Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and the Americas. The winner will be announced on June 10th.

The purpose of the awards is to identify the best dental cases solved with the IPS e.max all-ceramic system, with a panel of experts set up to evaluate all the projects submitted with regard to esthetics, complexity and harmony. 

Hundreds of teams, each consisting of a dentist and dental technician, submitted their case presentations, accompanied by written and photographic documentation. Each entry showcased different workflows and concepts.

Judging panel member Dr Jiang Shan said: "Because creation begins from perfect imitation, being a member of the panel for the IPS e.max Smile Award was a great opportunity for me to get inspired for my own work, too."

Winners will receive global exposure, with their works to be presented at professional events and in the dental media.
