Simplyhealth chief executive wins IoD Award

Simplyhealth has announced that its chief executive Romana Abdin has been recognised at the Institute of Directors (IoD) London and South East Director of the Year Awards.

Ms Abdin has been named as the IoD's London and South East Director of the Year for 2015 for a company with an annual turnover in excess of 300 million pounds during a gala dinner in Pall Mall last week.

Honouring the best-performing business leaders across the country, the award is a testament to her success in leading Simplyhealth, the foremost provider of health cash plans, dental payment and pet health plans in the UK.

The aim of the awards is to emphasise the role directors play in benefiting the UK's economy and in the preservation and creation of jobs.

Ken Piggott, chairman of Simplyhealth, said: "Romana's leadership of Simplyhealth shines through in the committed and dedicated way that our people serve our customers. It's fantastic for her to be recognised with this IoD Award."

This comes after the company was named best health insurance provider at the 2015 Personal Finance Awards last October.
