Thermo Fisher Scientific and 908 Devices showcase new products at ASMS 2016
Thermo Fisher Scientific and 908 Devices are presenting new technology at this week's American Society of Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) conference for 2016.
The companies are attending the event in San Antonio this week (June 5th to 9th) to demonstrate the benefits of combining 908 Devices' new ZipChip microfluidics separation technology with Thermo Fisher mass spectrometers.
Through this offering, users of the Thermo Scientific Exactive, Thermo Scientific Q Exactive and Thermo Scientific LTQ Orbitrap Hybrid FT product lines will be able to incorporate 908 Devices' new ZipChip to enhance their analytical capabilities.
In doing so, they will be able to achieve high-quality separations and substantially enhance their analysis of biomolecules. ZipChip uses integrated microfluidics to separate biological samples in three minutes or less, using only a few nanolitres of the sample.
Two chip types are available: ZipChip HS for small molecule analysis and peptide mapping, or ZipChip HR for intact large molecules.
Iain Mylchreest, vice-president for research and development, chromatography and mass spectrometry at Thermo Fisher, said: "ZipChip provides a new and innovative inlet technology that provides fast, high-resolution separations of biomolecules for multiple sclerosis analysis in biopharma characterisation workflows."
