Henry Schein reaches 268th place in Fortune 500 list

Henry Schein has reached 268th position in the annual Fortune 500 rankings, up from 287th place in last year's edition.

This marks the company's 13th year as one of America's largest corporations. In 2015, the firm generated net sales of $10.6 billion (7.28 billion pounds) – up from $4.1 billion in 2004, when it first debuted on the Fortune 500 in 487th place.

It means Henry Schein's sales have grown at a compound annual rate of 15 percent since it became a public company in 1995. It has also been listed as one of Fortune's most admired companies for 15 consecutive years.

The Fortune 500 list ranks America's largest corporations based on total revenues for their respective fiscal years.
