Royal Canin launches new 3D dental model for vets

Royal Canin has announced the launch of a 3D dental model that demonstrates the recommended method for sectioning and extracting teeth in cats and dogs.

Developed in partnership with renowned veterinary dentist John Robinson, the dental learning tool is intended to help the development of veterinary professionals by providing an accurate representation of an animal's mouth.

The teeth of the 3D model are pre-sectioned, indicating how tooth crowns should be divided and where to cut the crown to achieve single root pieces. As such, it can help vets to provide a higher quality of care to their patients.

Royal Canin will be providing these models for free to customers who purchase a certain quantity of their diet products, with higher-value purchases offering additional free models.

Marianne Lomberg, Royal Canin's veterinary marketing manager, said: "These high-quality and accurate models will be a valuable addition to the education resources available to veterinary schools and professionals."

This comes after the firm launched a new free urinary stone analysis service for vet practices across the UK earlier this month.
