DJO Global reports strong revenue growth in second quarter of 2016

5th August 2016

DJO Global has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2016, during which it experience strong revenue growth across a number of its key business areas.

The company's net sales total came to $292.9 million (224.42 million pounds), up by 4.6 percent year over year, while its adjusted earnings per share rose by 3.7 percent to $63.6 million.

Encouraging performances for its international and surgical implant businesses helped to offset the weaknesses of its bracing and vascular segment and its recovery sciences division, while exchange rate changes did not have a material impact on results.

The firm expects to achieve constant currency revenue growth rates of close to six percent for the year as a whole.

Mike Mogul, DJO's president and chief executive officer, said: "Our second-quarter performance was driven by the continued accelerating performance in orthopaedic implants, international and consumer. We expect these businesses to continue to drive performance in the second half of 2016."

This comes after the firm launched its new Clima-Flex OA Knee Brace for the management of mild to moderate osteoarthritis knee pain last month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801823212-ADNFCR
