W2O Group names chief strategy officer of global medtech practice
W2O Group has announced the appointment of Angela Gillespie to the newly-created role of chief strategy officer of its global medtech practice.
Ms Gillespie, who spent most of the past five years working in-house with various medical device companies, will be responsible for the practice's strategy and operations across all of the W2O Group's subsidiary agencies, including WCG, Brewlife, and Twist, reports PRWeek.
She previously worked at WCG for three years until 2010, founding the medical technology practice during this time. Having rejoined W2O in January, she has been transitioning into the chief strategy officer role since then.
Over the last half decade, the staffer has spent time working for NeuWave Medical, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, MDMC Group, FischerHealth, EMAK Worldwide and Porter Novelli.
Ms Gillespie said: "My role will be heavily focused on looking ahead to see where the market is going, being able to go deep with our clients and teams to provide strategic direction on the market."
Her work will see her reporting to Jennifer Gottlieb, the firm's chief operating officer and head of client services.
