Circle Health appoints new head of comms

7th September 2016

Circle Health has announced the appointment of Alex Singleton as its new head of communications, a position he will assume next week.

Mr Singleton joins the health partnership from the business group London First, where he served as head of media relations. Prior to this, he acted as part of the leader-writing team at the Daily Telegraph and as lead researcher for the Adam Smith Institute, reports PRWeek.

The former freelance comms expert was recently made a fellow of the Public Relations and Communications Association for his contributions to the industry and authored a book called The PR Masterclass.

In his new role at Circle Health, Mr Singleton replaces Gordon Hector, who left to run the research team for Ruth Davidson, leader of the Scottish Conservatives, at the end of June.

Circle Health operates private and NHS hospitals and had an annual turnover of 128 million pounds last year. The partnership is co-owned by its 1,000-plus employees and ranks as the largest partnership of healthcare professionals in Europe.
