APCO Worldwide appoints director and chair of UK healthcare practice

APCO Worldwide has announced the appointment of James Tyrell as the new director and chair of its UK healthcare practice.

Mr Tyrell is the former co-founder and deputy managing director of Insight Consulting Group, helping to establish the company in 2006 and growing it into a 25-strong team capable of delivering award-winning campaigns for some of the world's largest businesses.

He also regularly contributes to industry media and has been named consultant of the year at the Public Affairs News Awards for the strength of his work.

As such, Mr Tyrell can boast expert knowledge of health policy and technology appraisal skills, as well as experience of providing corporate and brand support for leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies, charities and professional organisations.
