Ivoclar Vivadent celebrates 40 years of Programat ceramic furnaces

Ivoclar Vivadent has celebrated the 40th anniversary of the launch of its Programat ceramic furnace range.

Originally introduced under the Programat name at the International Dental Show in 1977, the product line has become a market-leading brand, according to the company's latest sales figures.

Ivoclar Vivadent will be launching a festive campaign to promote the brand over the coming months to coincide with this landmark anniversary, with a fresh advertising push and competitions planned.

The company said: "Programat is the current market leader in ceramic furnaces. Among dental technicians, the name is synonymous with innovation, easy handling and high quality, as well as with durability and reliability of the firing results."

The original P1 furnace introduced an innovative opening mechanism that allowed the firing table to remain in place. Its swivelling furnace head, which opened by means of a hinge joint, was used in all subsequent models.

Currently, the range includes three models – the Programat P310, P510 and flagship P710, which offer different configurations for various applications.
