Nominees for 2016 PMEA Awards announced

The organisers of the annual PMEA Awards have announced this year's finalists, with a total of 49 entries up for contention ahead of the ceremony in London next month.

Organised each year to reward responsible, customer-centric business practices, the awards highlight work that has made a positive contribution towards ensuring treatments and advice deliver meaningful outcomes for patients.

AbbVie, Bayer, Celgene and Novartis have been shortlisted for the flagship company of the year prize, while AstraZeneca and the British Society of Gastroenterology are among those in contention for the patient and customer-centric education and support programmes prize.

This year also introduces a new PMEA Support Agency of the Year award, designed to recognise the best-performing agencies supporting pharmaceutical clients.

Aurora, Bedrock, Complete HealthVizion, GCI Health, Lucid Group and Uptake Strategies are all in the running for this inaugural agency grand prize.

Nominees will discover whether they have emerged victorious during the awards ceremony at London's Lancaster Hotel on November 23rd.
