Waters announces new commercial agreement with Sotax
Waters has announced a new commercial collaboration with Sotax, a leading developer of dissolution testing, automated sample preparation and pharmaceutical testing solutions.
The co-marketing and re-seller agreement will see Waters make its Acquity UPLC H-Class System available to Sotax for sale to drug manufacturers performing small-molecule, solid-dosage analysis in quality control and analytical research and development.
Under the terms of the deal, Sotax will become an independent distributor for the product, marketing, selling and distributing the system through its direct sales force in the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
This will expand the availability of the Water system among customers of Sotax, the world's largest company focused on the dissolution testing space.
Dr Mike Harrington, senior vice-president for global markets at Waters, said: "This exciting new collaboration links Waters and Sotax technologies, enabling our mutual customers to streamline their analysis, characterisation and preparation of pharmaceutical samples, and improve their productivity and profitability."
Last week, the company reported its financial results for the third quarter of 2016, during which it achieved a five percent year-on-year increase in revenues.
