Bristol-Myers Squibb to present immuno-oncology data at SITC 2016

4th November 2016

Bristol-Myers Squibb has announced plans to share new data from its immuno-oncology pipeline at the 2016 Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) annual meeting.

Taking place in Maryland from November 9th to 11th, the conference will give the company a chance to share data evaluating its new combination regimen of Opdivo plus Yervoy, as well as Opdivo in combination with investigational assets such as lirilumab.

Interim data evaluating the efficacy of lirilumab plus Opdivo in squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck will be presented in a late-breaking oral session, as well as late-breaking data from the CheckMate -032 trial, studying Opdivo plus Yervoy in metastatic urothelial carcinoma.

Dr Fouad Namouni, head of development for oncology at Bristol-Myers Squibb, said: "We are committed to discovering novel pathways and complementary mechanisms that have the potential to significantly improve the standard of care in a broad range of tumour types."

Immuno-oncology combination therapies are a key area of strategic focus for Bristol-Myers Squibb, which expects to have 13 immuno-oncology compounds and seven targeted oncology compounds in the clinic by early 2017.
