Hill-Rom reports strong double-digit growth for 2016
Hill-Rom has announced its financial results for 2016, during which it achieved strong double-digit growth.
During the fourth quarter of the year, the company generated worldwide revenue of $706 million (567.93 million pounds), representing a year-on-year increase of 23 percent, thanks to the effects of the recent acquisition of Welch Allyn.
The success of its North American patient support systems division and front line care unit helped to offset the weakness of international patient support systems and the surgical solutions division.
For the full year, worldwide revenue came to $2.66 billion, a 34 percent increase on 2015. The integration of Welch Allyn was highlighted as a successful process, as well as the launches of products such as the da Vinci Xi Surgical System and RetinaVue 100 Imager.
John Greisch, president and chief executive officer of Hill-Rom, said: "We will build on this success by driving sustainable growth across a more diversified portfolio with disciplined focus on commercial and operational execution, as well as enhancing value for patients, customers and shareholders."
In 2017, the company is forecasting revenue growth of approximately three percent on both a reported and constant currency basis.
