Allergan names new member of board of directors

Allergan has announced the appointment of Adriane Brown as a new member of its board of directors, effective from February 2017.

Ms Brown is the president and chief operating officer of Intellectual Ventures, a private global invention company focused on providing access to valuable patents and invention-related services.

Prior to joining Intellectual Ventures in 2010, she was senior vice-president of energy strategy at Honeywell International, while her other previous employers also include Corning.

She has served on the board of directors of Harman International Industries since June 2013, where she is a member of the compensation committee and the technology and innovation committee.

Providing nearly 30 years of management experience, Ms Brown will be able to bring considerable operational expertise to her new role with Allergan, as well as a proven track record of developing and growing technologies and products across a network of global research centres and manufacturing plants.
