Virbac provides donations to charity Trusty Paws
Virbac has announced that it has extended its support for Trusty Paws, a charity offering basic veterinary care to dogs belonging to homeless people in Glasgow.
The company has been supporting Trusty Paws since its inception in 2014 and will be providing additional supplies of its Canixin vaccine, as well as its Milpro wormer and Effipro spot-on flea treatment, for use by the charity.
Trusty Paws recently expanded its scope to offer a similar service in London, with the support of vet students from the Royal Veterinary College.
During monthly clinics, supervised veterinary students give free vaccinations and flea/worm treatments to the dogs of homeless people, as well as microchipping them and providing bedding, food and clothing for both the dogs and their owners.
Simon Boulton, head of marketing for the companion animal business unit at Virbac, said: "Trusty Paws offers a vital service to animals which live a difficult life but provide much-needed companionship to their owners. We are delighted to continue to support Trusty Paws in providing veterinary care to these deserving animals."
