DJO Global appoints new president and chief executive officer
DJO Global has announced the appointment of Brady Shirley as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO) with immediate effect.
Mr Shirley most recently served as the president of the DJO Surgical business, a position he has occupied since March 2014. Prior to this, he was the CEO and director of Innovative Medical Device Solutions, with Stryker among his other previous employers.
He has been appointed as the successor to Mike Mogul, who stepped down from his position on November 14th, as announced earlier this year. He will remain with the company until the end of 2016 to ensure a smooth transition.
The outgoing CEO was thanked for his considerable contributions over the last few years, in which he has helped DJO Global to outpace the growth of many of its competitors.
Mike Zafirovski, DJO's chairman of the board of directors, said: "Brady's leadership experience … make him the right person to drive DJO's dual imperatives of achieving sustainable above-market growth and driving cost and service leadership in all of our activities."
This follows the appointment of Mike Eklund as the company's new chief operating officer and chief financial officer earlier this year.
