Teva announces planned departure of chief financial officer
Teva has announced that its group executive vice-president and chief financial officer (CFO) Eyal Desheh will be leaving the company in the coming months.
Mr Desheh will take part in the company's upcoming first-quarter earnings call on May 11th, while Teva's management commences a search to identify a successor for the CFO role.
He has served in his current role since 2008, while also acting as deputy CFO between 1989 and 1996. For a brief period from October 2013 to February 2014, he became Teva's president and chief executive officer (CEO) on an interim basis.
Dr Yitzhak Peterburg, the company's current interim president and CEO of Teva, said: "The management team and I would like to thank Eyal for his many contributions, as well as his continued support during the transition."
This comes after former CEO Erez Vigodman departed the company earlier this year, with the search for his permanent successor still ongoing.
Dr Sol Barer, chairman of Teva's board of directors, said this search will take priority, as the new CEO is likely to play a significant role in identifying Mr Desheh's successor.
