Novo Nordisk makes two changes to executive management team
Novo Nordisk has announced the appointment of two new members of its executive management team, effective as of October 1st.
Camilla Sylvest, senior vice-president of Novo Nordisk's operations in China, has been appointed executive vice-president in charge of commercial strategy and corporate affairs, having been with the company since 1996.
In her role at the head of this new unit, she will be overall responsible for the company's corporate functions within marketing, market access, strategy, communication, stakeholder relations and sustainability.
Lars Fruergaard Jorgensen, president and chief executive officer of Novo Nordisk, said: "During her more than 20 years in Novo Nordisk, Camilla Sylvest has consistently delivered strong business results, fostered strong relations with stakeholders and demonstrated a natural ability to rally her organisations around key priorities."
Meanwhile, the firm's senior vice-president and head of North American operations Doug Langa is being promoted to executive vice-president, with his responsibilities to remain unchanged.
He joined the company in 2011 and has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry.
