Qiagen and Clinical Genomics offer combined colorectal cancer testing solution

Qiagen has announced a new partnership to offer a colorectal cancer testing solution alongside Clinical Genomics.

The company has implemented its QIAsymphony PAXgene Blood ccfDNA Tube sample collection as part of Clinical Genomics' Colvera colorectal cancer recurrence assay, an integrated liquid biopsy solution designed to enable easy and accurate monitoring for recurrence of the disease.

Colvera offers convenient, non-invasive monitoring of colorectal cancer patients by detecting methylated circulating tumour DNA that may indicate cancer recurrence.

The integration of the QIAsymphony PAXgene Blood ccfDNA collection makes it possible for this process to be conducted via a simple blood collection at the physician's office, with no on-site processing required.
