Good Relations wins UK and global brief with Deezer

Good Relations has won a new brief with the streaming music service Deezer, which is seeking to expand its market share.

The London-based agency has been tasked with handling the brand's global and UK PR initiatives following a competitive pitch involving four finalists. Previously, Deezer has worked with M&C Saatchi PR and Blue Rubicon, according to The Holmes Report.

Work will involve bolstering the brand's reach, reputation and popularity, while raising awareness of the personalised Flow service. Stepping up activations and music campaigns have been cited as initiatives the agency plans to leverage.

The aim will be to increase Deezer's profile amid challenging competition from other streaming services, such as Spotify. This will continue the aggressive expansion plans Deezer has been pursuing for the last five years.

Executive director Lawrence Collis will lead Good Relations' Deezer team, with the agency describing the win as "a big piece of business for us and the client".

M&C Saatchi did not take part in the latest pitch, but will continue working with Deezer in the US during the transition of agencies.
