Burson-Marsteller names deputy global healthcare head

Burson-Marsteller has announced the appointment of Avril Lee as its new deputy global healthcare practice chair.

She will join the agency on February 19th and will be tasked with working alongside global healthcare leader Helene Ellison to expand the firm's representation in this sector worldwide. The role will be based in the UK.

Over the last two years, Ms Lee served as managing director of MSLGroup's UK and EMEA health practices, overseeing global portfolio communications for major clients such as Allergan.

Prior to that, she spent two years with Luther Pendragon as a director leading the AbbVie Humira business and serving on the senior leadership team, while she has also spent ten years with Ketchum London.
