Sobi launches enhanced corporate sustainability initiative

Sobi has announced the launch of a new and enhanced corporate sustainability initiative that will help the firm better meet the needs of its stakeholder communities.

The new strategy aims to ensure the company is complying with all applicable laws and regulations, with a focus on responsible tax management. It will also introduce ethical commitments, particularly concerning areas of patient safety and transparency.

Additionally, this initiative will amplify Sobi's efforts to engage with stakeholders to improve sustainable access to treatments for rare diseases, and to drive forward strategic research and development of new medicines.

In recent years, the company has provided access to 36 products across 72 countries, allying with Bioverativ to donate up to one billion international units of clotting factor between 2015 and 2025 for people with haemophilia in developing countries.

It is also working to create a self-sufficient research and development pipeline within the coming five to ten years.
