Healthcare Communications Association appoints new chief executive
The Healthcare Communications Association (HCA) has announced the selection of Anneliese Cameron as its next chief executive officer.
Ms Cameron, who has been involved in healthcare comms for more than a decade, will succeed Julia Cook in the role, with the outgoing leader to officially hand over responsibilities at the HCA's annual general meeting on January 22nd 2015.
The chief executive-elect formerly served as operations and awards director at PM Group, where she was responsible for the Communique Awards. Following this, she was general manager of the PM Society, giving her experience of running a not-for-profit professional membership organisation.
Meanwhile, Ms Cook was thanked by the HCA for the contributions she has made to the organisation over the last decade.
Ms Cook said: "I look forward to working with [Ms Cameron] in the coming months to ensure a seamless handover and, indeed, to keeping involved with specific projects for this pivotal organisation as appropriate."
The HCA is dedicated to providing business intelligence, best practice guidance, collective learning, structured training and networking opportunities to help improve standards in the healthcare comms sector.
