Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
Unmissable opportunity to join a leading service provider in the medical market for a Field Service Engineer (based in Scotland) to be responsible for the installation, upgrade, repair, preventative maintenance of laser, ultrasound and optical medical equipment across Scotland and Ireland
Role Requirements
Perform installations, on-site servicing, calibration and repairs of laser and ultrasound medical equipment and NHS and private hospitals, where required.
Maintain a service area in the south of the UK (outside this territory as and when required)
Home based role managing PM and equipment breakdowns in a timely manger
Maintain customer relationships
Provide accurate and detailed reports on all work carried out
Develop strong and productive relationships / partnerships with customers
Responsible for the accurate management of issues stock item
Provide responsive telephone / online support for customers as required
Identifying sales leads and passing them on the sales team
Occasional trips outside of South UK to the likes of Scotland/ Ireland
Person Specifications
Experienced and skilled in providing comprehensive technical repair and servicing
Experience working within hospital environments on medical devices, ideally laser, ultrasound or optical products
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain confident in customer facing environments
Experience at being a competent hand on service engineer, with the ability to problem solve and work using their initiative
Being flexible and self-motivated, with the ability to maintain and achieve service targets and deadlines
A team player, with the ability to also work unsupervised using their own initiative
An excellent communicator with the ability to deal and interact with customers effectively at all levels
Qualified to HNC or higher in Engineering (preferably Electronics/Electrical)
