Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
This Field Service Engineer role is responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of autoclaves and washer/disinfectors across the Greater Reading area. You will operate as the technical representative on customer sites, ensuring equipment performs reliably and consistently within regulated clinical and laboratory environments. Full product training will be provided.
The purpose of the role is to maintain system performance, minimise downtime, and uphold compliance standards across customer facilities. You will take ownership of service delivery within your territory, applying structured diagnostics and preventative maintenance to support safe and effective decontamination processes.

Role Requirements
Perform routine preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on autoclaves and washer/disinfectors across the Greater Reading area.
Maintain appropriate vehicle stock levels to ensure efficient and timely servicing of customer equipment.
Identify and forward qualified sales opportunities to internal sales teams in line with company procedures.
Provide engineering cover to adjacent territories during periods of holiday or sickness.
Develop a clear understanding of customer service requirements and ensure agreed service deliverables are met.
Person Specifications
Formal qualification in an electro-mechanical engineering discipline.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with customers and colleagues at all levels.
Demonstrates flexibility to ensure service commitments are fulfilled.
HTM2010 / HTM2030 experience would be advantageous.
Package
Up to £30,000 depending on experience.
