3M Espe receives industry innovation award

3M Espe has earned recognition for its contributions to innovation in the dental industry by a leading publication.

The firm has been named the most innovative company in the worldwide dental industry for the eighth consecutive year by the Anaheim Group, publisher of Dental Fax Weekly, in its 2012 Dental Industry Review.

During last year, 3M Espe was recognised for introducing 63 new innovations across the world, while for the 2007 to 2012 period this total came to 375, far outstripping the 213 recorded for the second-placed company.

Mark Farmer, president of 3M Espe, said: "3M Espe is fortunate to be a part of a corporation whose culture is built upon sharing technology. We are honored by this recognition and are committed to applying our technologies to solve real-world problems."

The firm markets more than 2,000 dental products and services and is part of the 3M group's healthcare division, which was a key driver of growth for the company during 2012.
