3M launches new cream for fungal infections
3M has announced the launch of a new skincare cream that offers relief from the symptoms of fungal infections.
The new 3M Cavilon Antifungal Cream is being made available to caregivers and patients in two different tub sizes and addresses skin complaints such as redness, irritation, scaling and burning.
It includes the active ingredient Miconazole Nitrate, which has been clinically proven to treat conditions such as ringworm and athlete's foot, while it also features water-repelling agents to combat infection.
As with other products in the Cavilon line, it will be presented in innovative packaging that has been optimised for ease of use and identification.
Marcello Napol, global business director at 3M Skin and Wound Care, said: "Cavilon Antifungal Cream fills a significant need for clinicians and their patients and by launching this new product, 3M is reinforcing its strong commitment to skincare."
Infection prevention and woundcare product sales were key areas of growth for 3M last year, helping the group's healthcare division to experience improved sales in all territories.
