90TEN Healthcare hired by Hospira for arthritis biosimilar launch
90TEN Healthcare has been handed a new two-year contract from Hospira to handle the forthcoming launch of an innovative new arthritis therapy.
The agency won the brief following a competitive pitch and will be tasked with assisting the European rollout of Inflectra, a monoclonal antibody biosimilar based on the successful drug Remicade, reports PRWeek.
Inflectra is groundbreaking as it represents the first time that the biosimilar concept has been applied successfully to a molecule as complex as a monoclonal antibody.
The drug recently received a recommendation from Europe's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use and is expected to receive full European Commission approval soon.
Senior account director James Osborn, who will lead the account, said: "A vital part of our role will be to drive engagement around how Hospira's offering can help relieve some of the challenges faced by Europe's healthcare systems."
This comes after 90TEN was hired by Alcon earlier this year to assist the launch of Dailies Total1, the world's first water gradient contact lenses.
