Agfa HealthCare sees HYDMedia go live in Osnabruck

Agfa HealthCare has announced that its HYDMedia solution has gone live in Marienhospital, Osnabruck.

The diagnostic imaging and clinical workflow solutions firm states that it has successfully installed its archiving and document management system at the facility, having integrated it with the extant ORBIS hospital information system.

Klaus Wystub, IT Manager for the hospital, states: “Agfa HealthCare has done a great job with the integration into our existing IT arena overall and with ORBIS, ORBIS RIS and IMPAX specifically.

“In addition to the basic functionality HYDBase, which is already up and running, the HYDOffice solution is currently being installed and the HYDSmallScan solution is undergoing trials at this moment.”

He explained that the advantage of the new system was that it allowed medical staff to access the notes of patients recently discharged, as they are all digitised immediately.

Agfa-Gevaert reported second-quarter results at the end of July which showed an increase in group sales of 0.8 per cent and a net result increase of 50 per cent to 42 million euros (28.4 million pounds).
