Albion Drive hired by Telefonica to promote Wayra programme

27th August 2013

Albion Drive has won a contract with Telefonica to promote Wayra, its two-year-old startup accelerator programme.

The agency has been tasked with increasing awareness of Wayra – which offers funding, office space and mentoring to new companies – among the European tech community, while also driving applications, reports PRWeek.

Up until this point, comms have largely been handled in-house by Wayra's European operations team, with Albion Drive being chosen as its first retained agency following the success of a project promoting the Wayra academy in Prague earlier this year.

The brief aims to raise the profile of Wayra's social enterprise accelerator programme Wayra UnLtd, promote Wayra Week in the UK and drive the startup communities around its academies in Munich and Prague, while also highlighting the brand's involvement with the Campus Party London tech festival.

Albion Drive director and founder Bryce Keane said: "We are thrilled to be working with the European arm of one of the world's leading accelerator programmes and to have the opportunity to help start-ups across Europe reach their next stage of rapid business growth and success."

The agency's other clients include tech-oriented brands such as Vizeum, Brainient, TransferWise and Silicon Valley Comes to the UK.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801629597-ADNFCR
