Allergan PR manager wins young achiever award

Allergan's medical corporate affairs and PR manager Julia Kendrick has been recognised as one of the most talented young communications professionals in the business at the 2013 Communique Awards.

Ms Kendrick earned the young achiever in healthcare communications accolade at the London event last week thanks to her clear thinking and extensive experience, as well as her self-confidence and positive attitude.

She officially joined Allergan in a full-time capacity in January 2013, but also worked with the company on secondment from Chandler Chicco Agency last year.

Credited with bringing consumer-focused insights and fresh ideas to the organisation, Ms Kendrick has been praised for the benefits she has delivered for Allergan during a challenging time for the industry.

The Communique judges said: "What she was able to demonstrate was the immense integrity she'd shown in making some of the choices she'd had to make, over and above choosing the easy way and the low-hanging fruit."

Allergan employs around 11,100 people across the world and maintains a presence in more than 100 countries.
