Allergan reports rise in net sales
Allergan has announced an increase to its net sales during the fourth quarter of 2012 as part of its operating results for the three-month period.
The global pharmaceuticals company revealed its total product net sales reached 1.5 billion (£958 million) dollars between September and December compared with the same time in 2011.
It also reported the organisation's Board of Directors has declared a fourth quarter dividend of 0.05 dollars per share, which is payable on March 21st to stockholders of record on February 28th.
Allergan's total speciality net sales increased by 8.2 percent, or nine percent on a constant currency basis, compared to those recorded during the fourth quarter of 2011.
David EI Pyott, Allergan's chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer, said: "In 2013, we look forward to making a notable increase in research and development investment to secure several regulatory approvals and to growing our markets."
