Amgen to share new insights at European Cancer Congress
Amgen will be attending the European Cancer Congress in Amsterdam from September 27th to October 1st 2013, where it will share data from its latest oncology studies.
The company will present findings from studies of marketed and pipeline products during the conference, including phase III trial data for talimogene laherparepvec, its new therapy for melanoma.
Additionally, information from a phase III study of the ovarian cancer therapy trebananib will be shared, as will data from a number of trials of the approved product Vectibix, which will demonstrate its efficacy in a number of metastatic colorectal cancer treatment applications.
Dr Sean Harper, executive vice-president of research and development at Amgen, said: "We are successfully advancing our pipeline, while using cutting-edge science to better understand each cancer's unique fingerprint and provide individualised care for patients."
This comes after the firm expanded its oncology capabilities with the acquisition of the global biopharmaceutical company Onyx Pharmaceuticals last month.
