Animalcare reports strong growth for half-year
Animalcare has published its unaudited interim results for the six-month period ending on December 31st 2012, during which it recorded strong year-on-year growth.
The company's revenue total for the half-year came to 6.1 million pounds, up by 13 percent on the corresponding period of 2011, while earnings, profit and cash reserve levels also saw double-digit increases.
During the six months, Animalcare introduced a pair of new products in Buprecare ampoules and Vitofyllin, while experiencing a high growth rate within its licensed veterinary medicines group and making good progress with its pipeline developments.
The firm expects that its full-year results will meet its previously-stated expectations, with a total of four new veterinary products to be launched this business year.
James Lambert, chairman of Animalcare, said: "The board is delighted with the first-half results of Animalcare and it remains positive about the opportunities ahead for the future development of the company."
Last month, the business announced that Stephen Wildridge has stepped down as its chief executive officer, with Dr Iain Menneer taking over in the role.
