Ansell launches Gammex N95 respirator and surgical mask

Ansell has announced the launch of the first surgical mask to incorporate respirator functions via a new hybrid technology.

The Gammex N95 mask filters out 95 percent of airborne particles down to 0.1 micron in size, allowing it to remove many airborne particles contained in surgical smoke and prevent the spread of airborne viruses and bacterial microorganisms.

Additionally, it has been optimised for unrivalled comfort and performance, featuring a breathable face seal which allows air to circulate through the top, bottom and sides of the respirator.

Other advantages include its light and cool design, allowing it to be worn comfortably for long periods of time, thus promoting compliance and enhancing infection prevention further.

This follows on from the recent launch of Ansell's Gammex non-latex antimicrobial surgical glove in Canada, ahead of a wider global rollout.
