AstraZeneca to present new Faslodex data at CTRC-AACR symposium
AstraZeneca has announced plans to present new Faslodex drug data at an event held by the Cancer Therapy and Research Center (CTRC) and American Association for Cancer Research (AACR).
The company is attending the CTRC-AACR San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium this week to share trial data that demonstrates the potential benefits its product can offer in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer.
Results from the phase III Confirm study will be discussed to assess the differences between alternate dosing options of Faslodex, while other investigational data will reveal insights into potential combinations involving the compound.
Dr Yuri Rukazenkov, medical science director at AstraZeneca, said: "The study data and research findings that will be presented are a further addition to AstraZeneca's ongoing commitment to the continued study and evaluation of treatment options for metastatic breast cancer."
This comes after the firm commenced a new study in October 2012 that will directly compare the performance of Faslodex to Armidex in the treatment of hormone receptor-positive locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer.
