B Braun announces changes to management board

B Braun has announced changes to the composition of its management board, following news that Dr Wolfgang Feller will be retiring from the business.

Dr Feller has been a member of the board since 1991 and is leaving the company on March 31st 2013, with Markus Strotmann to take over his role in charge of the B Braun Avitum division.

Mr Strotmann will also become deputy manager of the board, having assumed responsibility for the company's hospital care marketing and sales over the last decade, as well as serving at Beiersdorf for a number of years.

It has also been announced that the supervisory board has extended the appointment of hospital care and OPM division head Dr Meinrad Lugan to 2018.

Dr Heinz-Walter Grosse, chairman of B Braun's management board, said: "We thank Dr Feller for his dedicated and successful work in various fields of responsibility over the past 33 years."

Earlier this year, the company earned an Investors in People Gold Award, recognising its strong commitment to best practice in HR management in its UK operations.
