Baxter replaces president of renal business

2nd June 2010

Baxter has announced that Robert Davis is to replace the retiring Bruce McGillivray as corporate vice-president and president of the company’s renal business unit.

Mr Davis, a former Eli Lilly employee, has worked at Baxter since 2004 and has served as its chief financial officer since 2006.

His appointment to the new role means that current Baxter treasurer Robert Hombach will now move to fill the vacant chief financial officer position.

Commenting on the changes, Robert Parkinson Jr, chairman and chief executive officer at Baxter, thanked Mr McGillivray for his 30 years of service to the company, while expressing confidence in the two new appointments.

He said: “Both Rob and Bob have served successfully in a variety of leadership roles and these new responsibilities further expand the breadth of their expertise.”

In April, Baxter published its financial report for the first quarter of 2010, during which it experienced a four per cent year-on-year increase in income.
